Oil, Chemicals and Petrochemicals
The Group plays a leadership role in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects in the chemical and petrochemical sector. The plants realised to date are mainly for polyethylene and polypropylene, ethylene oxide, ethylenic glycol, propane dehydrogenation (PDH), purified terephthalic acid (PTA), ammonia and fertilizers.
It offers a wide range of competences from feasibility studies to front-end engineering design (FEED), technology selection and project implementation on a lump-sum, turnkey basis.

Power
Thanks to its special know-how in state-of-the-art gas turbines and power plants, the business unit is responsible for the design and construction of some of the most advanced power projects in Italy and abroad. These include simple-cycle and combined-cycle gas-fired power plants, coal-fired power plants, biomass and waste-to-energy plants, cogeneration, repowering, electrical and energy distribution systems for civil and industrial use, and district heating systems. The Group has constructed 20 power plants in Italy and 15 abroad with an installed capacity exceeding 7,400 megawatts. Continuing research into the most innovative technological solutions has led to significant reductions in atmospheric emissions, conforming to the most advanced environmental regulations.

Infrastructure and Civil Engineering
This business unit works on highly complex architectural and engineering projects, including the design and construction of structures such as: - roads, motorways, railways, underground and surface urban railway networks, tunnels, bridges and viaducts (infrastructure); - buildings used for industrial and commercial operations and service industries, public buildings such as schools, offices, university campuses and hospitals (civil engineering).
The Group relies on the collaboration of some of the best-known Italian and international architects, including: Renzo Piano, Richard Meier, Norman Foster, Richard Rogers and Jean Nouvel. Tecnimont has been authorized by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to construct highly complex engineering projects; the company meets the requirements of the "Objective Law" (L. 443/2001), to perform the role of general contractor for strategic works of national importance.
